Come join our community of volunteers growing food for the Glastonbury Food Pantry.
Wind Hill Community Farm & Learning Center (WHCF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)) volunteer-
run farm in its 16th season serving the Glastonbury Community. WHCF has 2 acres of
fields as well as a hoop house located within the Town of Glastonbury Longo Open Space on
Hebron Avenue.
We support diversity and community, promote better health through diet and experiencing nature, provide a community gathering place, support sustainable farming, and advance adult and child education.
Whether it is a group of your organization’s members that join us for a scheduled day at the
farm, or individuals who wish to spend more time with us throughout the season. We
welcome everyone regardless of gardening skills and experience. One of the great benefits
of our community farm and learning center is teaching and engaging community members
that just don’t know how to get started.

High Tunnel(Hoop House)
The hottest feature of the farm. The High tunnel formally called the Hoop House is a vital part of Wind Hill. It provides us with an area to grow and preserve early and late crops. This 30' by 72' structure gets up to 14 hours of full sun with temperatures getting up to 110 degrees and higher!
We are looking for volunteers to help us rebuild and maintain it.
Rear Field
The rear field is a fenced in area behind the tunnel house.
We started planting the legendary Three Sisters method, a time-honored Native American planting method that grows all three crops together in one thriving, sustainable garden. The peas are ready to harvest and the Potato towers and heirloom tomatoes are going in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to check our progress.

East Hill
The newly rebuilt east hill serves as a raised bed garden. You can help by planting crops, weeding and watering. We finished our planting for the our farm stand and food pantry donations. Now all we need is help weeding and maintaining it. You can also help us by adding decorations and help us get the full potential of this space.
Herb Garden
Our herb garden serves as a community garden where we plant annual and perennial culinary and medicinal herbs. You can add herbs or take a snipping or two.

Social Media
Have skills in social media, web or graphic design like Canva or photography. Join our team and help us spread the word about our amazing community.
Food Pantry Donations
During the growing season we make weekly donations to the Glastonbury Food Pantry. You can help us harvest on Saturdays & Sundays or Weed & Whine Monday and make drop offs to the food pantries.
